The high school baseball season is six weeks in, and the Prep Sports Report will keep you up to date on Georgia High School State Association, Georgia Athletic Independence Association, and Georgia Association of Private and Parochial Schools standings. Here are the standings as of March 26, 2023, at 9 am per the GHSA and MaxPreps websites. The rankings are from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Sports section as of March 23, 2023.
The familiar teams made the top ten in their respective classifications. In GHSA Class 4A, Benedictine (12-6/4-2) is ranked #4. In GHSA Class 3A, both Savannah Christian (12-4/6-0) and Calvary (12-4/6-0) come in with identical records. The AJC has SCPS as #2 and Calvary Day as #3. The Raiders and Cavaliers meet each other this week to settle who is number one in the region starting on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at 5:30 pm at SCPS. On Wednesday, March 29, 2023, the series moves to Grayson Stadium with the first pitch at 6 pm and then back to SCPS on Thursday, March 30, 2023, at 5:30 pm.
