This past Tuesday night, August 23, 2022, it was rowdy in Demere Gymnasium, with the Lady Hornets losing a tough contest against Islands High School.

Dropping three games on the night, Savannah Country Day battled hard, with seniors Mason Howington and Alli Lane Buckler leading the swarm. Howington recorded 10 kills from 29 attacks, with teammate Buckler throwing in 4 stellar aces. With a team best .667 hitting percentage and no errors, Ayo Ajayi was the game's player for the Hornets.

To run things offensively, the defense was on fire. Included in this squad were Harris Stone and Helen Kenney, who tallied 10 and 9 digs, respectively. Setting up and cementing the Hornet Squad was Junior Lilla Brennan, who had numbers across the board.
