Savannah's Quentin Brooks, who is committed to play college golf for Savannah State University, posted scores of 77-80-75 to finish T16 at the First Tee National Championship played at the Warren Golf Course at the University of Notre Dame June 24-26.

The First Tee National Championship brings together First Tee’s top players for an opportunity to showcase how the program has helped build the strength of character needed to play under pressure. The First Tee National Championship is held annually at various college golf courses around the nation, providing First Tee participants the opportunity to network with others from across the country.

Brooks, who won the the South Carolina Indpendent School Association Class AA state individual title earlier this year, also had the opportunity to play in the 2024 PGA Champions Tour Pure Insurance Championship at Pebble Beach Golf Links in Monterey, California with Savannah's Tim O'Neal, a member of the PGA Champions Tour.

The championship is part of First Tee’s full slate of national participant opportunities, which are designed to keep teens engaged with the program. In addition to competitive golf opportunities, First Tee headquarters offers leadership programs, a girls empowerment event and a community service workshop.
