Guyton's Adler Saxton, a high school freshman, leads the Boys 14-15 age group after a first-round score of 3-under par 69 at the Southeastern Junior Golf Tour Sunset Country Club Classic being played at Sunset Country Club in Moultrie, Georgia.

Saxton's wild round included seven birdies, a bogey and a triple bogey en route to carding his first score in the 60s during a tournament round. In the Boys 14-15 age group, Saxton carried a three stroke lead into the second round over Hunter Glantz from Tallahassee, Florida, and Vincent Lee from Cumming, Georgia.

In the overall tournament, Boys 14-19, Saxton was tied for the lead with Will Elrod from Rocky Face, Georgia, Bryer Cale from Marietta, Georgia, and Brooks Adams from Brookhave, Georgia. He has a chance to win both the Boys 14-15 age group and the overall male champion competition in the tournament.

Saxton already has a win on the Southeastern Junior Golf Tour this season at the weather-shortened SSI Junior at Sea Palms in January and a runner up finish at the Jekyll Island Junior in February.

Saxton started the weekend in fourth place in the yearlong Playe of the Year points race, but a win would vault him to first place in the Boys 14-15 age group.
