Benedictine Military School's golf team has been a force to be reckoned with this season, and the Cadets won the Region Area 1-AAAA Boys Championship played at Southern Landings Golf Club in Warner Robbins, Ga., on April 20.

It was the third year in a row BC has won the 1-AAAA area championship, and it's the fourth victory of the season for the Cadets in 2026.

The Cadets bested The Marist School by three strokes, and BC junior Bear Dollander, who is committed to play college golf for the University of Alabama, was the low medalist after a score of 1-under par 71. BC junior Jack Weeks was T3 after a round of 1-over par 73, and freshman Carson Hayes was T7 with a score of 2-over 74.

Other scores for BC included senior Chad Chadwell with a 3-over 75, sophomore Alex Dao with a score of 5-over 77 and senior Hamp Threlkeld with a score of 6-over 78.

Benedictine moves on to play the Class AAAA state championship May 18-19 at the The Savannah Golf Club, where BC will be the host team.
