St. Andrew's turned the Georgia Independnat Athletic Association (GIAA) Region 2-AAA Championships on April 22, 2026, into its strongest postseason snapshot of the spring so far, finishing fourth in the girls standings with 62 points and third in the boys standings with 88.5 at Georgia Southern Eagle Field in Statesboro. The biggest headline was the five individual region titles won by four athletes: Aubri Rutledge in the girls 200, Lane Mandel in the girls 1600, Amari Cook in the boys 100 and 200, and Josiah Bowers in the boys high jump.

Cook's sprint double gave the meet a place in school history. His 23.03 in the 200 moved within 0.15 of Andrew Smith's school record of 22.88 from 2011, and his 11.44 in the 100 edged past the 11.45 mark set by Miller Cook in 1980. He now sits third in school history and is just 0.03 seconds behind Malcolm Williams-Green's 2011 record.

The other champions added their own history. Josiah Bowers tied Stephen Todd's 1981 high jump school mark of 5-6 earlier in the season, and his 5-8 clearance from the region meet now firmly puts him first overall in school history. Aubri Rutledge's 27.11 in the 200 gave St. Andrew's another standout sprint performance, just 0.26 seconds off Rebecca Suh's state championship run from 2014. Lane Mandel claimed the 1600 title even though she is in 8th grade and competing in the varsity competition.

The supporting points made the team's finish possible. Janiyah Johnson placed second in the girls' shot put with a personal best of 29-1.50 that puts her within sight of Mary Wilkowski's school record of 30-2. Carson Brown finished third in the girls' 3200, Pat Jackson took second in the boys' long jump, Nick Brown and Ian Willis both scored in distance events, and the boys' relays added second in the 4x100, third in the 4x800, and fourth in the 4x400.
