Savannah's Bear Dollander, a senior at Benedictine Military School, posted a score of 3-under par 69 in the final round of the Georgia Amateur Championship at Ocean Forest Golf Club on June 14 to finish solo fourth in the state's most important amateur championship.

Dollander finished with scores of 74-73-72-69 to complete the championship at Even par and 10 strokes behind champion Evanb Rogers from Duluth, Georgia. After an opening nine holes of Even par 36 in the final round, Dollander charged up the leaderboard with four birdies and a score of 3-under par 33 on his second nine hole to close the gap.

Dollander, who has committed to play college golf at the University of Alabama, will compete and be one of the favorites in the Georgia Junior Championship being played July 6-8 at Coosa Country Club in Rome, Ga.
