Savannah QB Club & Abbie DeLoach Foundation Kick Off New Scholar Award - BC Mac Kromenhoek Scores 1st Award

SAVANNAH, Ga. — Congratulations to Benedictine Military School senior Mac Kromenhoek, recipient of the inaugural Abbie DeLoach Foundation and Savannah Quarterback Club Scholar Athlete Leadership Award!

Mac was presented the award this award on May 11, 2022 by Mr. Jimmy DeLoach, Abbie DeLoach Foundation President and father of the late Abbie Lorene DeLoach. Abbie, a Savannah Christian Preparatory School graduate and Georgia Southern University nursing student who died at age 21 with four other GSU nursing students in a seven-vehicle wreck on Interstate 16 on April 22, 2015. The Savannah Quarterback Club’s Mr. Brooks Zeigler ’01 also attended the presentation.

Mac, who signed a letter of intent to continue his academic and athletic (football) career at Massachusetts Maritime Academy, received a trophy and financial scholarship from the Abbie DeLoach Foundation and Savannah Quarterback Club. BC Football Head Coach Mr. Danny Britt received a larger trophy on behalf of BC that has Mac’s name engraved on it. The larger trophy will remain on display at BC for one year before rotating to the school of the next recipient throughout the area.
