Savannah QB Club Honors Players from Benedictine, Calvary, and Windsor Forest

Two quarterbacks and two linebackers scored the Savannah Quarterback Club's Players of the Week awards for Weeks 3 and 4 of the 2023 high school football season. Congratulations to all the winners for their outstanding performances! Here are the recipients below.

 

Week 3 Week Players of the Week

Offensive Player of the Week:

Jake Merklinger QB, Calvary Day

The Tennessee commit and Calvary Day standout completed 16 of 22 passes for 233 yards and three touchdowns in the Cavaliers' 64-4 victory over Eagles Landing.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Defensive Player of the Week:

Marquis Lonnon LB, Windsor Forest

The Windsor Forest linebacker had four solo tackles, two sacks, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery in the Knights' 10-7 victory over Johnson.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Week 4 Players of the Week

Offensive Player of the Week:

Luke Kromenhauk QB, Benedictine

The Florida State commit and Benedictine quarterback threw for 266 yards and three touchdowns in Benedictine's 31-24 win over Ware County.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Defensive Player of the Week:

Bryce Baker LB, Benedictine

Baker led the Cadet's defense with ten tackles, one fumble recovery, and one sack in Benedictine's 31-24 win over Ware County.
