Savannah's Dollander medalist at Johnny Paulk Invitational

Savannah's Bear Dollander, a sophomore at Benedictine Military School, carded a sizzling score of 6-under 66 to earn medalist honors at the Johnny Paulk Invitational played March 8 at the Jekyll Island Golf Club on Jekyll Island, Ga.

Dollander finished with six birdies and an eagle to claim medalist honors over Jackson Byrd from Frederica Academy. Benedictine finished runner up behind Frederica Academy, with other counting scores for Benedictine including junior Heath Kulp with a 1-over par 73, junior Hamp Threlkeld with a 3-over par 75 and junior Chad Chadwell with a 4-over par 76.

Savannah's Kohki Maeda, a freshman at Savannah Country Day School, finished third individually after a score of 1-under par 71. Other area golfers in the top 10 included Benedictine's Kulp, Richmond Hill's Ledger Conley, Benedictine senior Colby Brennan, Benedictine's Threlkeld, Richmond Hill junior Matthew Reynolds and Savannah Coutry Day sophomore Charles Morris.
