Savannah's Maeda wins on Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

Savannah's Kohki Maeda, a junior at Savannah Country Day School, posted rounds of 71-74 to win the Boys 16-18 age group at the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour's Low Country Junior Open played September 26-27 at the Cat Island Club in Beaufort, S.C. 

Maeda won by three strokes over runner-up Hollis Echols from Wimberley, Texas. After a first-round score of Even par 71, Maeda held a one-stroke lead over Owen Murphy from Dunstable, Massachusetts but took control of the tournmanet with birdies on his first two holes of the second round.
