Savannah Week 2 Football: Stadium Debut, Big Games & Schedule Changes

Week 2 of the Savannah-area high school football season is here, and the spotlight is on the gridiron under the Friday Night lights and now the Thursday Night Lights! 

The Prep Sports Report's Games of the Week feature Richmond Hill, which makes history as the Wildcats christen their brand-new stadium in a much-anticipated opener against Glynn Academy. Meanwhile, Bethesda Academy welcomes defending SCISA champion Thomas Heyward in a matchup loaded with talent and high expectations.

Another marquee matchup is at Memorial Stadium, where nationally ranked Buford visits Benedictine in one of Georgia’s top showdowns.

Two games this week have moved from Friday: Savannah Country Day now hosts Athens Academy on Thursday at 6:30 p.m., and St. Andrew’s travels to Hilton Head Prep today at 5:00 p.m.
