SCPS Wall and BC Scroggins Catch Week 5 Savannah Quarterback Club Players of the Week

On Monday night, September 25, 2023, the Savannah Quarterback Club announced their Week 5 Savannah gridiron standouts and was pleased to hand off two more Players of the Week awards at their weekly meeting on the Southside. The guest speaker was former University of Georgia tight end Jen Blazeovich.

 

Offensive Player of the Week: 

Kenry Wall - Savannah Christian Preparatory School

Junior standout Kenry Wall showcased his versatility on the field with an exceptional performance. Wall rushed for 71 yards, added 48 yards receiving, scored two touchdowns, and made a crucial interception, compiling 141 all-purpose yards.

 

Defensive Player of the Week: 

Herbert "The Third" Scroggins - Benedictine

Junior Herbert Scroggins, known as "The Third," stood out on the defensive for the Cadets in Benedictine's game against Hebron Christian. He recorded nine tackles, including two for loss (TFL) and two sacks.

 

These outstanding performances by SCPS's Kenry Wall and BC Herbert Scroggins have earned them the titles of Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively. Congratulations to these outstanding athletes on their well-deserved recognition!
