Savannah Country Day traveled across town to take on St. Andrew's this evening and could not find an answer for the Lion's stingy defense. St. Andrew's (20-1) held the Hornets (6-14) to single digits in each of the first three-quarters of the game. Country Day's 26 points were the fewest points they have scored against an opponent all season. The Lions' on the other hand, were in complete control of the game from the very beginning as they jumped out to an 11-0 lead and never looked back.

With the victory, the Lions are now 6-0 against GHSA teams this season and 16-1 against them over the past two seasons. With a record of 20-1, this St. Andrew's team has reached 20 wins in a season faster than any other team in school history.

Zyere Edwards bounced back from his cold night against Bulloch Academy to lead all scorers with 28 points while also dishing out five assists. With 10 points for the game, Will Thompson was the only Lion to hit double digits, while no player from Country Day reached the mark.

St. Andrew's will look to stay undefeated in region play when they travel to Pinewood Christian next Tuesday.
