St. Andrew’s advanced to the State Final Four in dominant fashion Saturday night, pulling away in the second half to defeat Frederica 72–55 at First Presbyterian Day School in Macon. The Lions used a decisive third-quarter surge to turn a tightly contested game into a commanding victory and punch its ticket to a fifth consecutive Final Four appearance.

The matchup marked the fourth meeting between the two teams this season, and St. Andrew’s completed the season sweep while extending its winning streak over Frederica to 17 consecutive games dating back to 2019. The Knights came out energized, feeding off a loud home crowd and controlling much of the first half. Frederica led for the majority of the opening two quarters, but the Lions stayed composed and never trailed by more than six points. The Knights carried a narrow 29–26 advantage into halftime.

Frederica scored the first basket of the third quarter to push the margin to five, but that would be the last time momentum was clearly on their side. What followed was a stunning 30–4 run by the Lions over the remainder of the period. St. Andrew’s locked in defensively, controlled the glass, and began to find its rhythm offensively, turning a deficit into a 21-point lead by the end of the quarter. Page Getter put an exclamation point on the run by drilling a buzzer beating 3-pointer to end the period. The explosive stretch completely shifted the tone of the game and left Frederica scrambling to recover.

Page Getter led all scorers with 23 points and added five steals, consistently creating offense on both ends of the floor. Ja’Cari Glover battled Frederica’s big man all night and delivered another dominant interior performance with 19 points and 18 rebounds, recording his 16th double-double of the season. Milos Copic orchestrated the offense effectively, finishing with 9 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists.

Frederica continued to compete in the fourth quarter, but the deficit proved too large to overcome as St. Andrew’s maintained control down the stretch.

With the victory, the Lions advances to the Final Four and will face Lakeview Academy (21–7) on Feb. 25 at 4:30 p.m. at Columbus State, with a trip to the state championship game on the line.
