Two standout performances highlighted another strong week of high school baseball across the Coastal Empire. Calvary Day senior Noah Bauer and St. Andrew’s junior Jack Kelley have been named the John Carr Seaport Real Estate Prep Sports Report Baseball Players of the Week.

Bauer earns Pitcher of the Week honors. Meanwhile, Kelley is recognized as the Position Player of the Week after leading their team to region wins.

Pitcher of the Week – Noah Bauer

Calvary Day School | Senior

Calvary Day senior Noah Bauer delivered a strong outing on the mound against region opponent Southeast Bulloch on March 10.

Bauer pitched six innings of four-hit, shutout baseball, striking out eight batters while allowing just one walk. He also filled the zone, throwing 72% strikes in the performance.

The senior has been a steady presence for the Cavaliers this season and currently leads the team in innings pitched while posting a 1.47 ERA.

Calvary Day head coach Jakob Gross said Bauer’s success is the result of patience and hard work.

“Noah has earned every bit of success that he is seeing this year,” Gross said. “He has not had much of an opportunity to pitch the last few years due to the amount of depth at pitching, but he has made the most of every opportunity he has been given. I am proud to see his hard work start paying off.”

Position Player of the Week – Jack Kelley

St. Andrew’s School | Junior

St. Andrew’s catcher Jack Kelley put together a big week at the plate and behind it, helping lead the Lions to a 3–0 record.

The Lions picked up wins over Beaufort Academy (11–1) and a region doubleheader sweep of Westminster (12–0 and 10–2), with Kelley delivering key performances throughout the week, including his standout day on March 11.

Kelley was a force offensively, going 5-for-7 (.714) with five runs scored, 11 RBIs, two walks, and two hit-by-pitches. His week was highlighted by three 3-run home runs in the doubleheader against Westminster.

Behind the plate, Kelley caught every inning in all three wins. He also controlled the running game, throwing out the only runner who attempted to steal and not allowing a stolen base all week.

St. Andrew’s head coach Stephen Vaughn said Kelley’s impact goes far beyond the box score.

“Jack had an outstanding week, but what makes him deserving of this nomination goes beyond the statistics,” Vaughn said. “As our catcher, he leads the defense, manages the pitching staff, and controls the run game. Offensively, he hits in the heart of our lineup where we rely on him to produce runs. Jack has been a great leader for us all year, helping to change the culture of the baseball program here at St. Andrew’s.”
