The Saints have been getting into championship mode the last two weeks. It's a tradition at St. Vincent's Academy to make the Georgia High School Association state girl's soccer playoffs every year. The Saints don't just settle for doing this year in and year out. Their ultimate goal is to win a GHSA state championship every year as they did in 2017, 2018, and 2019.
St. Vincent's Academy girl's soccer team has won four games in a row. The Saints have outscored their opponents 21 to 2 since losing 2-0 against Hilton Head Prep on March 4, 2022.
During this winning streak, St. Vincent's has defeated Aquinas 7-0, Calvary Day School 7-1, and May River 3-0. After Wednesday's 4-1 win over Islands, St. Vincent's ran its overall record to 7-2 and own a 3-0 record in the region.
Against the Sharks, Reagan Aliotta scored two goals to lead all scorers, and Isabel Calimlim and Haley Beddow scored one apiece. Madison Ginsberg and Hayden Aliotta each had an assist. St. Vincent's goalkeepers combined for 14 saves, Kyrin Fox made eight, and Alana Beddow had six.
At 5 p.m. Tuesday, March 22, the Saints are scheduled to host region rival Calvary Day School.
