SAVANNAH, Ga. –  The St. Vincent's Academy soccer team keeps winning and scoring.

The St. Vincent's Academy girls' soccer team celebrated middle school and senior night by securing an impressive 8-0 shutout victory against Savannah Christian on Thursday night at Memorial Stadium. It was a special night; the seniors were recognized on a senior night, and St. James and St.Peter's middle school girls' soccer teams attended to witness another Saint's barrage of goals and another shutout.

The Saints improved to 10-0 overall and 4-0 in region play after another shutout win, 8-0 over Savannah Christian on Thursday night at Memorial Stadium. The shutout victory marks their sixth of the season, and they've now outscored opponents 84-4 across 10 matches.

Under first-year head coach Ashleigh Lund, St. Vincent's plays with unity, purpose, and focus—values the team built its foundation on before the season began.

"At the beginning of the season, the girls created three goals for the year: Prepare, Unity, and Improve," said Lund. "That mindset has really carried us. These girls love playing together, and you can see it in the way they support each other on and off the field."

Thursday's match showcased the Saints' team's depth and chemistry. St. Vincent's has had goals from 10 players and assists from 11, a rare stat that highlights just how balanced the roster is.  Five players have scored eight or more goals this season.

"We don't have one star—we have a team full of players who take ownership of their roles," Lund said. "From freshmen stepping up in their first season to seniors  Ava Holcey, Ellise Muller, Alexis Spisso, and Meg Stutzman provide leadership across the field, while underclassmen are making key contributions in every match. it's been amazing to watch."

With only four regular-season games remaining and three region contests, the Saints have their eyes on the postseason—but first, a huge region showdown awaits.

The remaining schedule for the upcoming games includes four teams with records over .500, a region match, and non-region games on the road. The Saints first play against Woodville-Tompkins (1-2/9-3) on April 8 at 5:00 PM. They will then play St. Andrew's (5-2-1) in a non-region match on April 10, also at 5:00 PM.

The last two matches are at home at Memorial Stadium. On April 14, the team will face Savannah Country Day (4-0/11-2) in a region matchup that could have two undefeated regional teams play at 5:00 PM. Finally, they will finish in a non-region match at home against GHSA Class 3A Long County, which is 13-1 overall, on April 16, with the game kicking off also at 5:00 PM.

All eyes are on the April 14 matchup between St. Vincent's and region rival Savannah Country Day, a key game that could decide the Region 3-A Division I title. However, the Saints aren't looking past any of the other opponents either, stated Lund.

"We know what's ahead of us, but our focus stays the same, one practice and one game at a time," said Lund. "Every practice, every film session, every game—we're building toward our best. I'm so proud of these girls and how they've grown as a team. It's been special."

As Coach Lund noted, St. Vincent's maintains consistency in each practice and game and fosters a strong team togetherness. They are proving that their success goes beyond just winning games. With the momentum they've built, they're heading into the state playoffs, ready to tackle each matchup one at a time.
