Where are they now: Savannah's Mary Miller ties lowest round ever at Georgia Women's Championship

Savannah's Mary Miller, a member of Savannah Christian Preparatory School's Class of 2024, tied the lowest round in Georgia Women's Amateur history with a 7-under par 65 on July 1 at Dunwoody Country Club in Dunwoody, Ga. 

Miller, who led Georgia Southern University's women's golf team to the program's first ever berth in the NCAA National Championship during her freshman year, made nine birdies and two bogeys during her historic round during the second roun of the 96th Georgia Women's Amateur. Following her freshman year, Miller elected to transfer to the University of Mississippi to continue her college golf career. 

As a freshman, Miller won the More Than Golf Invitational played in March Old Barnwell Golf Club in Aiken, S.C., and posted four other Top 10 finishes. As a junior golfer, she won both the 2022 and 2023 Georgia Girls' Championship and the 2023 Georgia Women's Match Play Championship, and she qualified to compete in both the Junior PGA Championship and the United States Girls Championsihp.

At SCPS,  Miller was the 2023 Georgia High School Association Class AAA Female Golfer of the Year and a three-time first-team all-state selection. She earned back-to-back Class AAA individual titles and helped the Raiders to three straight team championships.

Miller Miller is currently ranked No. 176 in the in the Clippd Scoreboard individual rankings and No. 275 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings (WAGR).
