MACON, Ga. – Coastal Empire wrestlers delivered a strong performance at the GHSA State Championships at the Macon Centerplex on February 14-15. Six wrestlers placed in the top four, with four reaching the finals. Out of 42 local competitors, 17 earned podium finishes.
South Effingham led the way with three state champions, finishing third overall in the GHSA 5A team standings. Brandon Bringer (157 lbs), Emilio Santana (126 lbs), and Tahrik Bailey (113 lbs) each claimed individual titles, capping off a dominant weekend for the Mustangs.

- Christopher Hardeman (South Effingham, 106 lbs) – 3rd Place
- Brayden Bringer (South Effingham, 152 lbs) – 4th Place
- Camren Douberley (Effingham County, 120 lbs) – 4th Place
- Zachary Krauss (Benedictine, 157 lbs) – 4th Place
- Brexton Bell (Calvary Day, 165 lbs) – 2nd Place
In the girls' division, Jenkins' Anaya Stringer (170 lbs) reached the state finals, finishing as a runner-up after three straight wins by fall. Here are the complete results of all local wrestlers by school who reached the podium:

- 165 lbs: Noah Hampton (9-6) - 6th Place

- 113 lbs: Tahrik Bailey (61-3) - 1st Place (State Champion)
- 120 lbs: Mayson Young (59-9) - 5th Place
- 126 lbs: Emilio Santana (52-4) - 1st Place (State Champion)
- 152 lbs: Brayden Bringer (45-12) - 4th Place
- 157 lbs: Brandon Bringer (67-2) - 1st Place (State Champion)

Coastal Empire wrestling continues to prove its strength at the state level with multiple individual titles and several strong performances.
