The Georgia High School Association (GHSA), Georgia Independent Athletic Association (GIAA), Georgia Association of Private and Parochial Schools (GAPPS), and South Carolina Independent Schools Association (SCISA) had announced their All-Region basketball honorees, celebrating the top players and coaches across classifications over the past month.
Bradwell Institute's Parris Parham and Beach's Mariah Reid were named Players of the Year. At the same time, Effingham County's Kyjana Jordan and Calvary Day's Zora Geiger earned Offensive Player of the Year honors. On the boys' side, Benedictine's Caleb Jones, Calvary Day's Kuol Deng, Savannah High School's Maki Joyner, and Johnson-Savannah's Favion Kirkwood shared Player of the Year recognition, with Groves' Tyrone Chisholm and Calvary Day's Chol Kiir leading in offensive and defensive play, respectively.
Coaches also earned top accolades for their leadership. Faye Baker (Bradwell Institute), Amber Chambers (Groves), Scepter Brownlee (Calvary Day), George Brown (Savannah), and Mel Abrams (St. Andrew's) were named Coaches of the Year for guiding their teams to outstanding seasons.
