Win and Stay In! "7" Savannah Teams Still Chasing the Basketball "Ship"

Savannah Area State Basketball Playoff Matchups

The Georgia High School Association (GHSA) and Georgia Independent Athletic Association (GIAA) State Basketball Playoffs continue, and seven Savannah-area teams await another chance to get closer to the championship game. As the action moves into the Elite Eight and State Semifinals, these local squads are set for big matchup games on Tuesday and Wednesday. Here are the schedules listed below.

 

Girls Basketball Matchups – Tuesday, Feb. 25

GHSA Class 5A: No. 1 Woodward Academy (23-5) at No. 1 Bradwell Institute (25-3), 6 p.m.

GHSA Class 3A: No. 8 Jenkins (19-8) at No. 1 Pickens (27-2), 6:30 p.m.

GHSA Private School: No. 7 Calvary Day (19-9) at No. 2 St. Francis (27-2), 6 p.m.

Boys Basketball Matchups – Wednesday, Feb. 26

GIAA Class 3A State Semifinals: St. Andrew's (24-3) vs. Lakeview Academy (23-6), 4:30 p.m. at Columbus State University

GHSA Class 3A: No. 13 Dougherty (19-10) at No. 5 Windsor Forest (24-5), 6 p.m.

GHSA Class A Division II: No. 4 Early County (19-10) at No. 1 Savannah High (24-4), 6:30 p.m.

GHSA Class A Division II: No. 3 Bryan County (21-8) at No. 1 Greene County (21-7), 6 p.m.
