A Sweep for Calvary Day School Volleyball on Senior Night

The Calvary Day School volleyball team hosted Hilton Head Christian Academy and Glynn Academy for their senior night on Thursday, September 17. The Lady Cavs swept Hilton Head in two sets: 25-12 and 25-14. After honoring their seniors, Gracyn Bennett, Payton Graham, Abigail McGalliard, Tynley Smeltzer, KC Wetherington, and Alana White, the Cavs took on Glynn Academy. Once again, the Lady Cavs swept the Terrors in two matches: 25-14 and 25-16. 

Senior Gracyn Bennett led the Cavs in kills with 14 for the night. Bennett had five kills against Hilton Head and 9 against Glynn. Senior Alana White led in digs and serve receive passes for the night with 11 of each. Senior Payton Graham led the front row in blocks with six, and sophomore Sarah Wetherington led the Lady Cavs in aces with six for the night. 

After beating St. Vincent’s Academy just two days before, these two victories put the Cavaliers record at 10-6 overall record and 1-1 in region going into games on Tuesday, September 22, in Statesboro.
