The February Frenzy of high school basketball is set for the Georgia High School Association (GHSA) and Georgia Independent Athletics Association (GIAA) schools to enter first-round play. The Georgia Association of Private & Parochial Schools (GAPPS) and South Carolina Independent Schools Association (SCISA) state basketball playoffs are already in their respective state playoffs' second and third rounds.

In GHSA, first-round action tips off on Tuesday, with girls first and the boys on Wednesday across Georgia. Second-round games follow on Friday and Saturday. After a weekend of tough region tournament battles on the hardwood, Savannah-area teams are primed for postseason runs.

Savannah High enters as the No. 1-ranked team in Class A Division II, according to Sandysspiel.com, while Windsor Forest rides the momentum of a Region 3-3A championship victory over Calvary Day. Benedictine, a perennial contender, is eyeing a third straight Final Four appearance.

On the girls' side, Bradwell Institute and Bryan County enter the postseason among the state's top teams, while Jenkins is confident of a Region 3-3A title win. Savannah Country Day, boasting a 20-3 record, will also host a first-round matchup.
