This week's St. Vincent's Academy Athlete of the Week is Alana Beddow. Alana had seven saves versus Stratford Academy in the 2nd Round of GHSA State Class A PRivate Soccer Playoffs. Beddow's efforts helped push the Saints into the quarterfinal game vs. Holy Innocents.

"Alana Beddow has been a force in our goal this season. As a sophomore, she has already accumulated 52 saves this year. She is extremely vocal and takes charge of our backline. Alana's performance in our 2nd round playoff game versus Stratford Academy was instrumental in keeping us in the game. Alana had seven saves that game, one that should have been a goal for Stratford and would have changed the tide of the game. Alana works hard at practice and is a true competitor. She loves her team, and it's evident in the way she fights each game for them. She is driven to succeed and will do what it takes to get the job done for her teammates." -Katie Knight, SVA Soccer Head Coach
