Champions crowned at US Kids Golf Tour championship

The US Kids Golf Savannah Tour completed its Spring 2025 season at the Tour Championship played June 8 at Richmond Hill Golf Club in Richmond Hill, Ga. 

Tournament and season champions were crowned, and Richmond Hill's Lou Kivett posted an incredible score of 4-under par 32 to win the Boys 9 age group. In the Girls 15-18 age group, Savannah's Maya Lilja earned her fifth victory of the spring season and carded her thrid score of 75 or better. 

In the Boys 6-Under age group, Austin Jones from Summerville, S.C., won the tournament with a score of 1-over 37, and Easton Guilfoyle from Statesboro, Ga., was named season points champion with two victories and three runner up finishes.

In Boys 7, Jay Carr from Savannah came in with a 6-over par 42 to win the tournament and won the season points championship with five victories and one runner up finish. After starting the season with a score of 17-over par 53 at Crosswinds, Carr neve scored higher than 42 for the remainder of the season and posted a season-best score of 1-over par 37 at Hunter Golf Course on Hunter Army Airfield in May. 

In Boys 8, Richmond Hill's Langston Beck won for the fifth time during the spring with a score of 9-over par 45, earning him the season points championship. 

In the Boys 9 age group, Kivett won for the fourth time in four tries, and he delivered his second under-par performance of the season. He also posted a score of 3-under par 33 in March at Sapelo Hammock Golf Club in Shellman Bluff, Ga. 

In the Boys 10 age group, Savannah's Charles Skelton won both the tour championship tournament and the season points championship. 

In Boys 11, Savannah's Jaxson Gillis earned his first win of the spring with a score of 15-over par 87, and Richmond Hill's Tripp West was crowned the season points champion with four wins and low round of 2-uner par 70 at Hunter Golf Course. 

In Boys 12, Logan Gamrod from Avella, Pa., finished with a season-best score of 5-over par 77 to claim the tournament, and Eli Brant from Bluffton, S.C., was the points winner with a victory and three runner up finishes. 

In the Boys 13-14 age group, Jonathan Budnick from Milton, Ga., posted a score of 6-over 78 to win the tournament but it wasn't enough to catch season pointer winner Lucas Petitone from Land O Lakes, Fla., who finished with two wins, a runner up and two third places. In the tour championship, Petitone finished third with a 7-over par 79. 

In the Boys 15-18 age group, Pooler's Chris Butler, a rising junior at Benedictine Military School, finished with a score of 12-over par 84 to win the tour championship tournament and also won the tour championship with four victories that included a low score of 7-over par 79 at the Club at Savannah Harbor in May. 

In the Girls 8-under group, Mallory Gaskin from Shellman Bluff, Ga., won the tour championship tournament and the season points ttile with five victories.

In the Girls 9-10 age group, Caroline Deese from Evans, Ga., was one of the few players in the field who played all six events during the spring season. She won the tour championship tournament with an outstanding score of 3-over par 39, and she claime the points title with four victories and a low score of 1-under par 35 at Sapelo Hammock Golf Club. 

In the Girls 11-12 age division, Samantha Gilmore from Wadmalaw Island, S.C., won for the third time in four events and claimed the points championship for the spring season. 

In the Girls 13-14 age group, Richmond Hill's Shayna Patel won the tournament and claimed the points championship with her third win, including a low score of 12-over par 84 at Sapelo Hammock Golf Club in March. 

In the Girls 15-18 age group, Lilja won for the fifth time in the spring and earned the points championship. The rising sophmore at Savannah Arts Academy carded her low score of the season at The Club at Savannah Harbor in May with an Even par 72.
