Hayden Alliotta, a Saint Vincent's Academy (SVA) graduate (Class of 2023) in Savannah, Georgia, has been named one of USA Today's Top 25 flag football players in the country. Alliotta is SVA's first flag football player to be named a USA Top 25 finalist.

Alliotta is an exceptional dual-threat quarterback who could use her arm and legs to make plays. Alliotta was named the Georgia High School Association Area 2 Division I Player of the Year as a junior and senior. She was a dual-threat quarterback.

She is also a leader in the classroom and on the field. Hayden has left her mark on the athletics at SVA. She will be attending the University of Georgia this fall. She is an excellent example as a student/athlete.

"Hayden is a true competitor in all sports she plays. She was a multi sport varsity athlete for four years at St. Vincent's and proved her athleticism when she picked up flag football and led the Saints to be one of the highest scoring teams in the country," said SVA athletic director Nichols St. Louis.

As a quarterback for the Saints (14-2) in 2022, throwing the ball, Hayden completed 70% of the passes for 2,227 yards and 35 touchdowns. With her feet, she rushed for 446 yards (8.7 yards per carry) and five touchdowns. SVA head flag football coach Mike St. Louis stated that Alliotta is a natural for the sport.

"Hayden is a naturally gifted athlete that picked up the sport incredibly fast. She is by far the most talented Flag Football player I have ever coached and watched play. Whenever she stepped onto the field to throw people stopped to watch," said St. Louis. "She was able to avoid pressure and throw 30-40 years passes in a dead sprint accurately. I wish this sport was offered at her college, because it is a shame she won't be able continue to showcase her talents at the next level."

Alliotta is one of five Georgia players on USA Today's list of the Top 25. All other players from Georgia were from Atlanta area schools: Lindsey Gergans from Milton High School, Amber Kirkpatrick from McEachern High School, Jaylin Schmitt from East Coweta High School, and Jahnaeia Thomas from Tri-Cities High School. Hayden reflected on what the nomination meant to her.

Hayden told the PSR, "I am truly honored to be nominated for such a big opportunity. I never thought a hobby I loved so much when I was younger would lead to this kind of achievement. I have always been taught to reach for the stars, and this acknowledgment of skill has shown me I have accomplished that quite well."

The players on the USA Today Top 25 flag football players list are the best in the country. Alliotta's inclusion on this elite list shows how talented and hardworking she is. The USA Flag Football Player of the Year will be announced by the USA TODAY High School Sports Awards on July 30, 2023.
