What Liberty Co., Jenkins and South Effingham Athletes Grab Gold at GHSA State

Yesterday, on May 9, 2025, the Georgia High School Association State (GHSA) Track & Field Championships got underway at Carrollton High School in Carrollton, Georgia. Athletes from various schools across the state showcased their talents in field events, all vying for top finishes and coveted state titles in their respective classifications.

Jenkins High School, Liberty County, and South Effingham each brought home gold on the first day of the GHSA State Track & Field Championships.

Blessed Diogo from Jenkins won the Class 3A girls triple jump with a jump of 38'4'', Jaidyn Haynes won the girls discuss with a throw of 133'6', and South Effingham's Harrison Crofts took first in the Class 5A boys high jump.
