BC golf in 7th at Granger Classic at Callaway Gardens

The Benedictine Military School golf team is in 7th place after one round at the Granger Classic being played on the courses at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, Georgia.

After the second round, the top eight schools will qualify for team match play. Benedictine was led by senior Nicolas Scarano, who posetd a score of Even par 71 in the first round on the Lake View Course at Callaway Gardens. Freshman Chad Chadwell carded 3-over 74 and fellow freshman Hamp Threlkeld turned in a score of 5-over 76 along with junior Whit Watson's 76.

The second round will be played on the Mountain View Course on April 14. After one round, BC was ahead of Prince Avenue Christian (Athens) by one stroke and trailed 6th place team Lambert High School (Suwanee) by three strokes.
