Lilja-Vazquez finishes 4-under par to win President's Day Classic

Savannah Arts Academy sophomore Maya Lilja-Vazquez played 54 holes at 4-under par to win the inaugural Savannah Junior Golf Association Presented by First Tee-Savannah President's Day Open played February 14-16 at Bacon Park Golf Course.

Lilja-Vazquez posted scores of 67-69-73 to finish nine strokes ahead of Port Wentworth's Hayden Price, who is committed to play college golf at Shorter University and put up her own impressive score of 1-under par 70 in the final round. 

In the Boys division, Shim Wang from Winter Garden, Florida, completed a wire to wire win with a final round score of 1-over par 72 to finish four strokes ahead of runner up Brian Li from Waban, Massachusetts. Savannah's Morris Lane, a senior at St. Andrew's School, finished third with scores of 73-75-73 to end at 8-over par for 54 holes. 

The President's Day Classic was the first World Amateur Golf Rankings ranked division event for the Savannah Junior Golf Association working with EXP Golf. Go to President's Day Classic Leaderboard for more information and complete results from all divisions.
