It's been a good few weeks for Savannah's Quentin Brooks.

Brooks, a senior at Bethesda Academy, learned in June that he was invited by The First Tee Savannah to represent the chapter and play play in the Pure Insurance Championship at famed Pebble Beach Golf Links in California in September. And on July 16 he carded a 1-under par 71 at the Savannah Golf Club to win the Savannah Junior Golf Association's Matt Warren Championship presented by the First Tee Savannah.

Brooks trailed by two strokes after the first round, but stormed back with the only under par score recorded in the Championship Division. Savannah's Alex Dao, an incoming freshman at Benedictine Military School, carded a score of 4-over 76 in the second round to finish runner up for the Championship Division.

In the Boys 10-14 age group, 9-year-old Bryson Lott from Statesboro posted an incredible score of 5-under par 67 to win the age group by five shots over 13-year-old Zach Dao from Savannah and 9-year-old Rivers Hood from Savannah. Hood managed a score of Even par 72 in the second round.

Savannah's Maya Lilja-Vazquez finsihed with a score of 4-over 76 to win the Girls Championship Division, and Victoria Grant claimed the Girls 10-13 age group.
