Savannah's Hood and Weeks earn top 5 finishes in Brunswick

Savannah's Jack Weeks and Rivers Hood both picked up top 5 finishes at the Georgia PGA Junior Tour's Brunswick Junior Classic played August 29-30 at Brunswick Country Club. 

After a first-round score of 1-over par 73, Weeks carded the lowest round of the tournament with a 4-under par 68 in the final round to finish solo third in the Overall Boys division at 3-under par. Weeks, a senior at Benedictine Military School, tied for the tournament lead in par breakers with eight birdies and an eagle over 36 holes. 

After a first-round score of 1-over 73, Hood led the Boys 11-13 age group. The sixth grader at St. James Catholic School turned in an impressive round of 1-under 71 in the second round and finished runner-up behind Macon 8th grader Brooks Buzzell.
