Two senior softball players from Bryan County High School were selected to the all-state teams by the Georgia Athletic Coaches Association (GACA). The Redskins placed outfielder Rebecca Johnson on the GACA 1A Division 1 first team and pitcher Hayden Joyner on the GACA 1A Division 1 second team.

Johnson had some pretty impressive stats. Rebecca had a .488 batting average, had six home runs,  25 runs batted in, and was intentionally walked eleven times for a total of 22 walks on the season. She has also broken the school record for career home runs,

Rebecca was the region 1A Division One player of the year, and also named to the Georgia Dugout Club softball first-team all-state team. She's been a first-team all-state team member in her sophomore, junior, and senior years. She has played in the GACA All-Star game as a junior and first team all-region all four years of high school. Last year Rebecca was the Savannah Morning News player of the year for 2022 and recently signed a scholarship to play at Troy  University.

Joiner has been stellar on the mound for the Lady Redskins softball team this year. She pitched 140 innings, struck out 189 batters, and finished the season with a 1.00 earned run average. Hayden this season  was selected the Region 3 A Division 1 pitcher of the year as she also received GACA second team All-state honors. She has been selected an all-region player as a sophomore, junior and senior, and recently signed a scholarship to play at Georgia Highlands College.
