This Grassi Roofing/Prep Sports Report Girl's Basketball Player of the Week Award for January 7 to 14th of the season goes to Kayley Wedlow of Bryan County Middle-High School.

Highlights: In three games, Kaylee scored 63 points, averaging 21 points a game, and had ten steals and eight assists. Against McIntosh, she hit four of nine three-point shots.
Coaches Comments: "Kayley had 3 good performances the past week. She played well on both ends of the floor and continues to be a leader on our young squad, "said Bryan County Middle-High School head girl's basketball coach Mario Mincey.
Coach's Corner/Prep Sports Report Girl's Boy's Basketball Player of the Week
This Coach's Corner/Prep Sports Report Boys' Basketball Player of the Week Award for January 7 to 14th of the season goes to Zyere Edwards of St. Andrew's School.

Highlights: Zyere scored 67 points in the three games, averaging 22.3 points a game. Edwards versus Islands had 30 points, four assists, and four steals. Two nights later, against John Paul II, Edwards scored 24 points with seven steals,
Coaches Comments: "He's a dynamic player who plays both ends of the floor and he's getting better. He's really embraced his role as leader. Oh and by the way, in the classroom he only made 1 B the first semester," said St. Andrew's School head boy's basketball coach Mel Abrams.
