There are few players across the state of Georgia which offer the skill-set that Benedictine’s rising senior Justin Thomas provides on the football field for the Cadets.

A star on the gridiron and on the baseball diamond, Thomas is committed to play baseball at the University of Georgia next year. He is the reigning Offensive Player of the Year, by the Savannah Morning News, and Thomas has the goods to retain that honor in 2021.

It’s hard to assign a specific position to Thomas, who excels as a runner and receiver in the Cadet offense led by quarterback Holden Geriner (Auburn commit).

Last year, Thomas had 14 rushing touchdowns and seven receiving scores. He carried 108 times for 651 yards while hauling in 35 catches for 693 yards in the aerial attack. He didn’t stop there, however.

Thomas also scored two touchdowns in the kick return game while racking up more than 70 tackles as a defensive back for Benediuctine, which reached the GHSA Class 4A Final Four in 2020. He picked off five passes, two of which were returned for touchdowns to give him 25 total touchdowns in just 12 games as a junior.

With plenty of talent around him, Thomas should be poised for another monster season in several stat categories this season.
