The Savannah Quarterback Club continued its tradition of honoring local high school football players at its weekly meeting on the southside of Savannah. This week, the club recognized the Players of the Week for Weeks 10 and 11 of the Savannah Chatham County high school 2023 football season.
The Savannah Quarterback Club guest speaker was former Georgia Bulldog alum Steve Dennis, now the Georgia Southern Director of Football Administration.
Week 10
Offensive Player of the Week:: JAYLEN HAMPTON, New Hampstead High School senior, Wide Receiver
Hampton led New Hampstead to a victory over Islands High School in Week 10 with five receptions for 128 yards and three touchdowns, as well as six rushes for 44 yards and a touchdown.

Defensive Player of the Week:: BREXTON BELL, Calvary Day School freshman, Strong Safety
Bell had ten tackles, two for loss, and a forced fumble in Calvary Day's win over Savannah Country Day School.

Week 11
Offensive Player of the Week: RASHAWN TRUELL, New Hampstead High School junior, Quarterback
Truell threw for 322 yards and five touchdowns on 23 of 42 passing attempts in New Hampstead's Week 11 victory over Burke County High School

Defensive Player of the Week: LOGAN BROOKING, Savannah Christian Preparatory School junior, linebacker
Brooking had nine tackles and a sack for Savannah Christian in their win over Groves High School.
