The Calvary Day School volleyball team had a successful week playing and winning three games. On Tuesday, October 6, the Lady Cavaliers took on a cross-town rival, Savannah Country Day School. The Cavs came up short in the first game losing 28-30, but they did not stay down long. They came out stronger in the second match, winning 25-18, taking the game to a third set which the Cavs won 15-7.

The team had a little time to rest and did not play until Friday, October 9. They traveled to Augusta to play Greenbrier and Aquinas, and the Cavs came out of both games on top. In the game against Greenbrier, the Lady Cavs took the first game in a hard fought set of 25-23. The Wolfpack did not give up easily though, winning the second match 25-27. In the third set, both teams were determined to take the victory, but the Cavaliers came up on top with a 16-14 win. The Cavs played Aquinas next, winning in two easy sets, 25-12 and 25-10.

The three wins put the Lady Cavs overall record at 21-8 and their region record at 5-2. The Lady Cavs are ecstatic to take on another cross-town rival, St. Vincent’s Academy on Thursday, October 15 to decide who gets second in the region.
