The Savannah Quarterback Club honored high school football players who made an impact for thier teams in Weeks 9 through 11. The standout athletes who earned Player of the Week accolades for their performances are here.
Week 9
Offensive Player of the Week: Shareef Morgan, sr. Beach High School
Morgan delivered an impressive performance against Johnson, racking up 150 all-purpose yards. He carried the ball 5 times for 95 yards and added three catches for 50 yards.
Defensive Player of the Week: Hayes Beaver, jr. Savannah Country Day School
Beaver was a force in the game against Swainsboro. He totaled 11 tackles, broke up a pass, and forced a fumble.
Week 10
Offensive Player of the Week: Dominique Johnson, jr. Jenkins High School
Johnson led Jenkins over Long County with an impressive outing, recording four catches for 108 yards and scoring a rushing touchdown.
Defensive Player of the Week: Dakari Smith, jr. Beach High School
Smith's defensive skills were on display against Groves. He recorded two sacks and made three tackles for loss (TFL), contributing significantly to the team's defensive efforts.
Academic Player of the Week: Jack Ganem, sr. Benedictine
Ganem excels both on the field and in the classroom. Against Wayne County, he hauled in 5 catches for 156 yards and scored a touchdown. He has a 3.85 GPA in all honors classes, exemplifying commitment on and off the field.
Week 11
Offensive Player of the Week: Kenry Wall, sr. Savannah Christian
Wall was pivotal in the Raiders' 48-12 win over Swainsboro, finishing with four receptions for 61 yards and three touchdowns.
Defensive Player of the Week: Jashawn Lovett, sr. Johnson High School
Lovett was a standout on defense, racking up nine tackles, including four solo tackles, three for loss, and a sack in a 21-7 victory over Windsor Forest.
