The biggest week of the Georgia High School Association sports season has arrived for soccer and track teams.
State championships are now on the line across the state as Savannah-area athletes and teams prepare for four straight days of GHSA championship action in track and field and soccer. One baseball team is left in the state semifinals.
And the spring championship run is far from over.
The 2026 GHSA Golf State Championships are scheduled for May 18-19, with 36-hole competition taking place at golf courses across Georgia.
From Athens to Atlanta to Savannah, local programs will compete for state titles beginning Monday and continuing through Thursday.
Here is this week’s championship schedule involving Savannah-area teams.
MONDAY, MAY 11
GHSA State Track and Field Championships
Spec Towns Track at the University of Georgia
Classifications competing:
A Division II
Class 4A
Field event finals begin at 9 a.m. with running event finals scheduled throughout the day.

GHSA Class 3A Boys Soccer State Championship
at Duluth High School 7:30 p.m.
Islands High School vs. East Hall High School
The Sharks (21-2) will play East Hall (14-8) for the Class 3A boys state championship Tuesday night after putting together one of the program’s strongest postseason runs in school history.
WEDNESDAY, MAY 13
GHSA State Track and Field Championships

3A-A Private

GHSA Class 2A Boys Soccer State Championship
at St. Pius X Catholic High School
7:30 p.m.
Savannah Arts Academy (16-6) vs. Pierce County High School (14-5)
Savannah Arts Academy will look to finish its playoff run with a state championship Wednesday night in Atlanta.
THURSDAY, MAY 14
GHSA State Track and Field Championships

Class 2A
Class 3A

GHSA Class 4A Baseball State Semifinals
at Benedictine Military School 4:30 p.m.
Benedictine Military School vs. North Oconee High School
Benedictine (31-6) will host North Oconee (28-6) in a best-of-three Class 4A state semifinal series beginning Thursday in Savannah.
The winner advances to the GHSA Class 4A state championship series.
Championship week has arrived, and Savannah-area teams will spend the next four days trying to bring more state titles back to the Coastal Empire.
