Calvary Day senior Kinsey Prado has been named this week’s Coach’s Corner Volleyball Player of the Week after helping her team win the GHSA Class 3A-Region 3 championship for the second year in a row.

Prado was a big reason for Calvary’s success in the region tournament. She had 34 kills, 5 aces, and 35 digs in matches against Jenkins and Islands. In the championship match against Islands High School, she led the way with 18 kills, 18 digs, and three aces, helping the Cavaliers win the title.

Head coach Kelsey Griffin said Prado’s improvement and love for the game make her special. “Kinsey has grown tremendously over the years, in ball control, defensive plays, and smart shots,” Griffin said. “Her passion for volleyball is always on full display.”

During her career, Prado has become one of Calvary Day’s top players. She has been named the Region 3-3A Offensive Player of the Year in 2024 and made the GHSA Class 3A First Team. Last season, she averaged 3.6 kills per set and had 45 aces, helping Calvary reach the Sweet 16 in the Class A-3A Private playoffs.

Now a senior, Prado continues to lead her team with strong play, leadership, and energy as the Cavaliers move into the state playoffs.

Coaches, athletic directors, and fans can nominate players for the Coach’s Corner Volleyball Player of the Week. Nominations are open until Monday, and winners will be announced on Wednesday. Submit your nomination here: Nominate Here.
