Cottis finishes T25 at US Kids World Teen Championship

Savannah Christian rising junior Ava Cottis was tied for the lead at one point and finished T25 in the Girls 15-18 division at the US Kids Golf World Teen Championships played in Pinehurst, N.C. July 27-29.

Cottis, playing Pinehurst #5, carded scores of 71-77-76 to finish 8-over par. At one point during the second round, Cottis was 2-under par and tied for the lead.

In Boys 13, Savannah Country Day rising 8th grader Kohki Maeda completed an impressive T36 finish with steady scoring of  75-74-74 Longleaf Golf & Family Club. In Boys 14, incoming Benedictine freshman Jack Weeks finished T57 after scores of 76-76-81 on the very difficult Pinehurst #8.

In Boys 15-18, Savannah's Braden Schnaible compelted 54 holes T62 after rounds of 77-73-84.  His first two rounds were played on Pinehurst #4 and his final round was played on the famed Pinehurst #2, home of the 2024 U.S. Open Championship.

In Girls 14, Richmond Hill's Alexa Mohler finished T36 with scores 79-80-84 at Pinehurst #6. And in Girls 13, Savannah's Maya Lilja finished T48 at Pine Needles Lodge & Golf Club after scores 89-84-83.
