Dollander runner up, Dao top 10 at Southern Showcase junior golf event

Savannah's Bear Dollander, a sophmore at Benedictine Military School, posted scores of 70-71 to finish 3-under par and in solo second place at the Southern Showcase at King And Prince played on St. Simon's Island at the King & Prince Golf Club.

Savannah's Alex Dao, a Benedictine freshman, carded scores of 79-79 to finish in ninth place. Dollander's first round score of 2-under 70 included an albatross on the par-5 18th hole, and he made an eagle on the par-5 14th hole during the second round to close to within one stroke of eventual champion Trace Carter from Blackshear, Ga.
