In connection with Coach's Corner, the Preps Sports Report will be awarding the Coach's Corner/Prep Sports Report coach of the month every month now.

The first Coach's Corner Coach of the month went to Benedictine Military School's Head Football Coach Danny Britt at Benedictine's championship game watch party on January 16, 2022, at Coach's Corner. Britt received the award because of his leadership skills as the Cadets football program took home the school's third Georgia High School Association Championship on December 10, 2021.

Britt has compiled a career record of 151-48 over 16 seasons. Danny's first head coaching job was at Calvary Day School for five years, from 2001 to 2005. In five years at Calvary, the Cavaliers went 32-22. Britt took a three-year break from coaching to work as an administrator at Calvary. In 2008, he took over the defensive line at Calvary.

Britt has been the head football coach at Benedictine for 11 years. In 2011, he took over the Cadets football program. In that time, the team has gone 119-26, with three state championships and seven region championships.

We all know how important it is to have a good Coach in our schools, communities, and athlete's life. A coach uses sport to teach children and students hard work, teamwork, and other essential life lessons. All sports help develop tomorrow's leaders, so coaches should be thanked for their time coaching on every level and field of play.
