Forest City Gun Club Juniors Win Sixth National Title

Marengo, Ohio — The Forest City Gun Club Juniors won their sixth national title at the Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP) Nationals, finishing with a team score of 2113. They beat the PC Eagles by eight birds in a close contest at the Cardinal Shooting Center.

 

The team had a strong showing in Sporting Clays, led by Curt Jones, who scored 184. Walker Peters and Chase Buerger both shot 177. In American Skeet, Forest City took the top three spots. Chaz Palmer shot a 199, followed by Gavin Walmsley with 198 and Caleb Vo with 197. Again, all scores are out of a possible total of 200.

The team finished with top scores in American Trap. Curt Jones shot a perfect 200. Mills Hollis followed with a 199. Chase Buerger added a 195, Landyn Fries shot 194, and Georgia Kennedy rounded out the group with a 193.
