Four Peat! How did the Habersham School Girls Win 4th Straight GAPPS State Tennis Title

The Habersham School Varsity Girls Tennis Team is once again state champions!

The Lady Patriots captured their fourth straight Georgia Association of Private and Parochial Schools (GAPPS) State Championship on Tuesday in Berry, Georgia. Habersham earned three hard-fought wins — defeating New Creation 3-2, Peachtree Academy 3-2, and The Stonehaven School 3-1.

Betsy Kelly led the way with a perfect 3-0 record in singles play. Myla Shippy added two big wins, finishing 2-0. In doubles, Hannah Gesser and Paige Edwards also went undefeated at 3-0, while Georgia Reed and Izabel helped with two more victories, going 2-1.

It was a total team effort as posted on "X" and the Patriots battled tough competition and came out on top once again. The streak now stands at four straight titles for the GAPPS powerhouse tennis program.
