The St. Andrew's School Lions Boys Tennis team continues its strong season with another step forward in the postseason.

Back-to-back Region Champions and undefeated in region play, the Lions have been steady from the start. That same consistency has carried into the playoffs, where they’ve earned a spot in the GIAA AAA State Semifinals.

The path to the semifinals wasn’t simple.

In the opening round of the 8-team tournament, the Lions faced Westminster Schools of Augusta after a full-day rain delay. With the match tied 2–2, it came down to the final court.

That’s where junior Moritz Ammon stepped in.

In a two-hour battle, he stayed composed and closed it out 6–3, 6–3, securing the deciding point and sending the Lions into the next round.

Now, the Lions enter the semifinals on an eight-match winning streak, continuing to build momentum as the season progresses.

They’ll take the court on Tuesday at the John Drew Tennis Center in Macon, facing Rivers Academy.

Another opportunity to compete, just like they have all season. steady, composed, and together.
