What a special season for Calvary Day Baseball. Finishing the season with a 27-8 record, the Georgia High School Association Class 3-Region 3 championship, three playoff sweeps, first final four since '16, and a first state championship appearance since '07. Congratulations to the Cavaliers on a great season.

GHSA CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES ROUNDUP:

Calvary Day School's quest for a third state championship fell short as they were swept by the Harlem Bulldogs (40-1) in the GHSA Class 3A championship series. The Bulldogs, defending champions, displayed their dominance throughout the series, shutting out Calvary Day in the second game and securing a comfortable victory in the first.

In Game #2, Calvary needed to win to stay in the series to force the "IF" game, but Harlem wasted no time getting on the board in both games. In the championship game clincher, they plated four runs in the first three innings to take the lead and went on to defeat Calvery 7-0 for their back-to-back GHSA Class 3A Championship.

Highlighgts for Calvary in Game two were Caden Arnold managed to secure two hits in four at-bats, Will Hampton also contributed with two hits, and Max Arnold added a hit.

In the first game, Harlem jumped out quickly. Harlem erupted for six runs in the bottom of the second inning, capitalizing on timely hits to take a commanding lead, 9-0. Calvary Day managed to score five runs in the game, but Harlem had a commanding lead to win 13-5. Highlights in game one for the Cavs were Brooks Dawson going four for four and scoring once, providing a bright spot for the Cavaliers. Will Hampton and Carter Hampton each contributed with two hits and an RBI.

Calvary Day, despite a valiant effort, was unable to overcome the offensive firepower of the Bulldogs. This loss marks the end of their journey towards a third state title, adding to their victories in 2005 and 2007.
