The Habersham School Patriots defeated New Hampstead 15-4 on Monday, thanks in part to Jack Hogan, who drove in four runners. Hogan drove in runs on a single in the second and a single in the fifth.
The Patriots got things started in the first inning and put up five runs in the fifth inning. Hogan, CJ Barry, and Thayer Hughes each had RBIs in the big inning.
Hogan was the winning pitcher for Habersham. The righthander lasted three and third innings, allowing two hits and three runs while striking out three and walking one. Thomas Tift threw one and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Joey Marshall took New Hampstead's loss, surrendering eight runs on five hits over two and third innings, striking out four.
Habersham racked up seven hits in the game. Tift and Hogan all managed multiple hits for the Patriots. Hogan and Tift all had two hits to lead the team. Hogan led the Patriots with four stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with 11 stolen bases.
