While former Savannah junior golf superstar Mary Miller was finishing runner up at the 96th Georgia Women's Amateur played June 30 through July 2 at Dunwoody Country Club in Dunwoody, Ga., several junior golfers from the Coastal Empire made the cut at Georgia's premier golf event for women.
Guyton's Madi Saxton, a member of the graduating class of 2025 headed to play college golf at Savannah College of Art & Design, posted scores of 81-71-77 to finish T33 at 13-over par, while Savannah's Kate Barber, a 2025 graduate of Savannah Country Day School headed to play college golf at Auburn University, finished 14-over and T36 after rounds of 77-75-78.
Savannah's Ava Cottis, who graduated in 2025 from Savannah Christian Preparatory School and will play collegiately for the University of North Florida, also made the cut and finished T43 at 16-over par following rounds of 76-76-80. And Richmond Hill's Hayden Price, a member of the Class of 2026, made the cut and finished T57 with rounds of 78-76-86.
