The 2025 Georgia High School State Association (GHSA), Georgia Independent Athletic Association (GIAA), Georgia Association of Private Parochial Schools (GAPPS), and South Carolina Independent School Association (SCISA) Boys & Girls Basketball Region & State Tournaments get underway tonight, with teams battling for championship titles across multiple classifications.
Tonight’s action features several key region matchups as teams battle to advance. In GHSA Class 6A, Richmond Hill versus Valdosta in Region 1, girls play at Camden County. Over in GHSA Class 5A, Glynn Academy goes to South Effingham boys in a must-win showdown. As the Lady Mustangs head over to Statesboro. The GHSA Class 4A boys bracket sees Benedictine and New Hampstead squaring off for a third time this season in the region semifinals. As in GHSA Class 3A tipoffs today, Southeast Bulloch Boys visits Johnson High School; Islands goes crosstown to Groves. In play in games for the girls in GHSA A-DI and A-DII, Savannah Christian girls are at Woodville-Tompkins, and Savanah High goes to McIntosh County Academy.
